[VLAN] max mtu 1468 bytes with Any Card and Linux 2.4.29 & linux 2.6.10 + gcc 2.3.2

I thought 8139too had VLAN support, but Tulip will definately have
to be patched.  If you can get an Intel pro/100 or pro/1000 and use
the e100 or e1000 driver, then VLANs will work with no problem.
