[VLAN] Vlan 1 in bridge ?

Hi,

I'm using setup 1b from the vlan FAQ. Eveything is
working fine, except one thing. I'd like to be able to
communciate with my switches through the bridge, not
thought eth0. Currently to communicate with them i
have to explicitly:

route add ip eth0

The switches in question are Cisco 2950's. I believe
that all management traffic should operate on Vlan 1,
but when I add vlan 1 to my bridge I still have to use
eth0 not the bridge to communicate with them.

Does anyone have any experience of this ?

Many thanks
Piccalo
