Are you sure about this? I couldn't start a unattended installation
using a second cdrom containing the winnit.sif file on it.

My bad.  I'd mistakenly assumed you were amending the existing CD image by adding the new files for unattend and drivers (something we never got round to doing for our unattends at the Stoller Biomarker Discovery Centre).  If you're not then, agree, you can use a second CD-ROM drive for the more modern OSs but will either need to amend the existing image or use floppy for the earlier flavours.
