Did you ever get it working on ubuntu? I don't know if that dialog ever
worked there. There is a debian networking backend for netcf but it was
essentially a code drop AFAICT. As laid out in that email, the dialog
didnt work very well even on RH based distros, and likely doesn't work
on many other distros too.

If you want to make videos for creating a bridge device on ubuntu, use
nm-connection-editor which is one of the native NetworkManager tools. A
video for that would certainly be helpful because it comes up reasonably
often

Sorry but no. If users want to make any changes with their host
networking config they should use native desktop tools.
