LOL thanks for the knock on the head. Totally forgot about kdewallet since i set it up 10 years ago and it never gets reset during upgrades. I was abke to always deny access so now it asks for password for each host now.

Sounds like you're talking about SSH auth, in which case virt-manager doesn't
store the passwords at all, that's likely some factor of whatever is handling
the ssh auth dialog for your desktop.
