If we drop functionality based on whether it is a source of bugs, then
the first place to start would be to drop spice.

IOW, I honestly don't see this as an even remotely compelling reason
to drop the zoom functionality.

I also don't think it materially affects our ability to accept Sagar's
work, so I think that's not relevant.
