[virt-manager 0/2] Check thread setting against CPU model

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

The followign patches check the selected CPU thread setting against the
CPU model. If the selected CPU model doesn't support Hyper-Threading
(a.k.a. SMT), it gives a warning message in the processor configuration
pane of virt-manager.

Note: this is a fix for bugzilla 1135772. There are two parts of this fix.
The first part is in QEMU, which gives a warning to end-users, and has
been accepted in to QEMU tree. The second part is to provide a clear
warning message in virt-manger, which is provided by this patch set.

Wei Huang (2):
ui: add a warning message for hyper-threading support
virt-manager/details: add checking code for CPU threads
