Probably not, I guess you are missing some dconf backend or session
dbus or something else, but, unfortunately I can't help with that :(
And about the virtualization, are you sure you have libvirt and qemu
installed properly? Also you probably need to have access to the
daemon...

i just want to inform you that installing 'dbus' & 'dconf' on my gentoo
server solved it.
Dbus has to be running in background. all works like a charm now ,-)
