Thanks, yuping.  That certainly sounds related to my problem, but I'm unable
to view the bug you linked to.  Even after logging in to bugzilla, I just
get an unauthorized error.

Do you know how I can view the details of this bug?  or, failing that, could
you please let me know if there's any discussion of a fix/workaround?

People are focusing this issue.I think it will be fixed soon in upstream.
