Hello Christoph, That sounds like a good point but the data indicates that usb bandwidth should not be an issue. I use a spare SSD device for the recordings and I have also tested with a classic hard disc and also with an NFS share. Always the same issue. The performance of the SSD is: 14# dd if=/dev/zero of=./test bs=1M count=1000 1000+0 records in 1000+0 records out 1048576000 bytes (1.0 GB) copied, 45.2508 s, 23.2 MB/s 15# hdparm -tT /dev/sda1 /dev/sda1: Timing cached reads: 710 MB in 2.00 seconds = 354.27 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 88 MB in 3.06 seconds = 28.75 MB/sec A speed of 20+ MB/s should be sufficient to record an HD channel. While doing this test I can watch HD TV without any artefacts. Any other idea?
