hi,

beside this it's just a remuxer, not a transcoder
you will need something like ffmpeg to transcode and if the resulting ts
is not properly muxed for vdr you can remux it with that tool

maybe a package like ripbot264 fits better to the topic

(tsMuxeR is part of that package)
