I'm not aware of any DVB-T2 specific code in VDR 1.7.x
AFAIK, DVB-T2 at least needs support for QAM_256. I don't think the DVB-T tuner in VDR 1.6 supports anything better than QAM_64, so adding QAM_256 would definitely be a start.
Here is what i did with 1.7 vdr.
My tuning file:
T 698000000 8MHz AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO
Used scan to get channels.confs:
HD
Test:698000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_AUTO:FEC_AUTO:QAM_AUTO:TRANSMISSION_MODE_AUTO:GUARD_INTERVAL_AUTO:HIERARCHY_AUTO:520:721:1545
HD
Test;Anvia:698000:I999B8C999D999M999T999G999Y999:T:27500:520:721=fin:0:0:1545:0:0:0
Copy pasted -o vdr -formatted line into vdr's channels.conf. Restarted
vdr and now that channel is working.
Now channel is working if reception is good enough.
