Hi, I would like to get a HDTV VDR system started. I have the following hardware to play with: gigabyte m55plus s3g main board (nVidia GeForce 6100 / nForce 430) with Athlon 64 3500+, 1GB RAM GeForce 9500GT card with 1GB RAM 2 TT-budget S2-3200 DVB S2 cards I have installed OpenSuse 11.1 on it, which comes with vdr 1.6.0, the xine 0.8.2 plugin and dvb-1.1.0_CVS20080331-1.48. Is there a "getting started with HDTV VDR" FAQ somewhere? My first 3 questions questions are * Will a new VDR version be released today? The latest I could find is 1.7.7 (3 weeks old). * Where do I find the right DVB driver? * How do I configure LIRC, so it works with the S3-3200 and the remote control included with it?
