I assume it could be incorporated into softdevice using a patched version 
of ffmpeg because that's what softdevice uses to do the actual decoding 
steps. Not looked into it, though.

I don't have an nVidia card on my vdr box so I can't play about with this: 
no DVB-T HD stuff in the UK for several years to come so I'm happy using 
CPU grunt for MPEG2 decoding for now.
