vdr 1.7.0 + reelbox plugin preoblem

I guess the correct term would be "artifacts"?
I can see the video but here and there across the screen are small "boxes".

I also get in my log file:
video vdr: [2037] buffer usage: 100% (tid=2036)

The harddisk has DMA on.
To me it seems that the eHD can't get the stream quickly enough.

When I run lspci -b I get 3 devices sharing with IRQ 5:
