I know what you want to say. But according to my understanding xine has 
it's own heart beat and from this and stream PTS and some other parameters 
there is finally derived the rate the images are put to the Xserver.

I consider this rate as an 'ideal' rate i.e. free from any hardware 
contraints. I really don't want to change that.

Rather I try my best to program the hardware as close as possible to xines
'ideal' rate. That's the main intention of the patch.
