The HDTV stuff and possibly a new recording format will be a huge change, I think freezing whatever improvements have gone into 1.5.x is a Good Thing. Yes, there will be some stuff missing but, like when we have to buy a new PC, in theory there's always something with a better price to performance ratio coming in a few months ... we just don;t care and buy whatever is better now, or keep waiting forever ..
