Don't buy this card if you want to use it in a permanent (i.e. vdr)
setup where your computer is on 24/7. You will notice disconnects every
now an then rendering the device rather useless...

And yes this still happens with *any* kernel version (2.6.20 - 21.5) +
even the experimental mercurial tree out there...
