That means it demultiplexes its input (evtually transforms it to mpeg-1/2), then synchronizes it, and multiplexes it to pes. That means the FF-Card receives a synchron stream. I think moving that synchronizing logic out of software-playback devices into vdr will solve that problem (and also other problems like audio near cutting marks). VDR however for now just forwards recorded data to FF-Card without ensuring any time-conditions.
