I got myself an Origen VFD unit. It's a bit on the small side, 16x2 but for me 
quite sufficient. It should fit into a 5,25" drive bay, drivers can be found 
at http://www.irtrans.de/
In Finland it cost about 80 euros, dunno about other countries.
