Are you using xine like this (--post vdr_audio):

#!/bin/bash
killall xine > /dev/null &> /dev/null
killall -9 xine > /dev/null &> /dev/null
XINE="xine -V xxmc -A alsa --no-logo --geometry +0+0 --post vdr_video --post vdr_audio"
VDR="vdr:/tmp/vdr-xine/stream#demux:mpeg_pes"

if [ -z "$1" ]; then
	$XINE $VDR > /dev/null &> /dev/null &
else
        $XINE $1 > /dev/null &> /dev/null &
fi

sleep 4 && sudo renice -18 -p `pidof xine` > /dev/null &> /dev/null &
