a) a protection for the card (for overvoltage, static electricity and so 
on, which can easily lead to a dead expensive FF DVB-s card)
b) no correction to get the signals videoconform and as the signals you 
can get from jp2 are not meeting the standards it easily can happen that 
your expensive tv won't give you nice video quality at all with this setup.
Cause of that I would not recommend it.
