I don't think any of the HDTV channels is going to be in MPEG2. As it seems, everyone agrees on MPEG4 / H.264 over DVB-S2. Time to get new hardware :-( For now, reception with softdevice looks very green and jumpy. But you can try the following channels.conf entries: Astra HDTV promo:12168:vC56:S19.2E:27500:133+80:134=eng:0:0:21101:0:0:0 Euro1080 HD-1;Euro1080:12168:vC34:S19.2E:27500:308:256=eng:0:622,624:21100:1:1088:0 Pioneer HDTV:12441:vC34:S19.2E:27500:133+80:134=eng:0:0:29700:1:1102:0 Pro7 HDTV:11914:h:S19.2E:27500:255:0;259:0:0:658:133:6:0 TV HD;CSAT:12581:vC56:S19.2E:22000:165:100=fra;101=fra:0:0:9306:1:1110:0 (corrections welcome) > Would it be hard with for example xine to test those ? With the correct codecs, no. Decoding 1080i in software requires a LOT of horsepower, though. I'm hoping that a VIA Unichrome Pro can do most of it in hardware - HDCP issues set aside for a moment. I don't expect any of these channels going to be FTA for very long. -- This land is full of trousers! this land is full of mausers!
