HDTV and VDR

I'm trying to get HDTV to work with VDR. What I know so far is that a FF-
cards mpeg decoder is not able to handle the bitrate. What I'm trying to do
is to run vdr-1.3.25 + streamdev ( CVS 2005-08-28 ) using:

C MORE
HD;Telenor:11261:hC78:S1.0W:24500:517:660=eng;661=eng:1:B00:3306:70:33:0

which is a 1980x1080i stream, and by suspending the FF-card ( via streamdev-
server ) before changing to C MORE HD I expect that the mpeg decoder will not
choke ;)

In my logs I get:

Sep 21 20:12:14 vdr vdr[15751]: Streamdev: Accepted new client (HTTP)
10.0.1.98:1058
Sep 21 20:12:19 vdr vdr[15760]: ERROR: no useful data seen within 10717880

Sep 21 20:14:16 vdr vdr[15749]: ERROR: CI MMI: unknown tag 9F8800

I'm using vlc 0.8.2 to pick up the stream from VDR. The FF-card is a Nexus-S
with CI+CAM ( Conax + subscription card, Canal Digital Sweden )

I'm planning to use a machine with DVI output (X,fb,DirectFB or similar) and
display on a HD-ready 40" LCD, streamed from my main VDR. Can this be made
today? Please report success stories.

What is the hard/software needed to watch HDTV with VDR or what else is wrong
with this picture?
