Lockup problem

Dear list,

I've got a linux 2.6 system which locks up (not respoding to keys, blank
display - can't be sure if its a kernel panic) totally about twice a day.
I've narrowed the problem either to em8300 driver itself or the vdr-dxr3
driver.

Vdr is running nicely without dxr3 plugin and the system is stable more
than a day :-)

Vdr with the plugin, random lockups appear. Messages-log may say about
ring buffer to be full near the lockup time, but not always.
em8300 version 0.15.rc4 and vdr-dxr3 version 0.2.3-cvs20050528.tgz (I've
tried some earlier versions too).

I thought about creating a blank-screen and feeding it (instead of
tv-picture) constantly to dxr3 and see if the lockups appear. The
sources seem quite complicated, thus help will be appreciated ;-)

BR,
Jarmo
