I think you got me wrong ;-)

input_vdr.h is no binary and therefore it's not in a "bin" directory. 
It's ok that which doesn't find it.

xine-config should be on your path, so

	which xine-config

should give you

	/usr/local/bin/xine-config

In my previous email I ment, that the compiler option 
"-I/usr/local/include" adds this directory (= path) to the compiler's 
search list for include files.
