Alas, I tried to adapt the patch but as I'm not familiar with the code and
you've done quite a few changes to it, would you be able to help me with the
patch? Attached is the working part that adds the new files consoles.[c,h]
plus that part of the original patch that would add the needed feature but
doesn't apply.
