The first patch will make line(1) command not to be part of default build. This should enourge distribution packagers to drop that command from util-linux package. Today its been 290 days a strongly recommended in depricated file to use head(1) instead. Second patch will, hopefully, make .tar.gz distribution packages to have better content. My attempt was to get INSTALL file updates more automatic, and sensible content to ChangeLog, which is required as side effect.
