-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 If you mount a device-mapper device, /dev/dm-7, and then try to umount /dev/dm-7, it fails saying that is not mounted. This appears to be because umount fails to recognize the device in mtab and translate the device name to its mount point when calling umount(). Manually editing /etc/mtab and removing the '-' allows umount /dev/dm7 to work correctly. Initially discovered on Ubuntu Maverick, verified still present in today's git tree. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/util-linux/+bug/755193 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk2fyJQACgkQJ4UciIs+XuK01QCcCMRdOW+pZlSFMtLv2TRT3PWD 5S0An1riffpkK8Ry20S4vDeFgAXa+j7W =QJs2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe util-linux" in the body of a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
