umount chokes on devices with '-' in the name

If you mount a device-mapper device, /dev/dm-7, and then try to umount
/dev/dm-7, it fails saying that is not mounted. This appears to be
because umount fails to recognize the device in mtab and translate the
device name to its mount point when calling umount(). Manually editing
/etc/mtab and removing the '-' allows umount /dev/dm7 to work correctly.

Initially discovered on Ubuntu Maverick, verified still present in
today's git tree.
