Yes, I know. Sorry. 

Note that I'm on freenode.net (for example at #udev) IRC -- you (or
anyone) can ping me before you start to work on something large. 

I have no time to rewrite partx right now (I'm working on libmount).
So I can apply your patches with mac and sun support for the next
release, but it's temporary solution. The final solution is to use
only one partitions parser in util-linux-ng -- libblkid.

The dasd code has to be added to libblkid shlibs/blkid/src/partitions/,
but it's nothing urgent because nobody sane use this horrible thing 
(except IBM mainfraims;-).
