Redoubt Volcano Activity Updates: Audio Bridge Added

Alaska Volcano Observatory will offer an audio bridge for journalists who want to join daily news-media briefings at 1:00 PM AKST remotely.  AVO will host briefings at the USGS Alaska Science Center in the Glenn Olds Hall Conference Room. This is the only time AVO staff will be available for interviews each day.  If an eruption occurs, information concerning another press conference will be released.

Activity at Mount Redoubt Volcano, 106 miles southwest of Anchorage, Alaska, has increased over the last week and an eruption is possible within days to weeks —no eruption has yet occurred. Scientists from the Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) are monitoring events round-the-clock.
