Fay Canyon parking receives stripes
SEDONA, Ariz., Aug. 3, 2018, For Immediate Release –For the first time in its existence the Fay Canyon Trailhead parking
lot will be closed to receive striping Tuesday (Aug. 7) to designate parking spots for the numerous visitors it receives.
Fay Canyon, a favorite hiking spot for Sedona visitors, is located northwest of Sedona on Boyton Pass Rd and will be closed most of the day to receive lineation and designated parking
spaces in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The parking lot is expected to open late in the afternoon Tuesday with 44 parking marked spots, two of which are designated for ADA accessibility.
The upgrade for this parking lot is due to the excellent partnership between the local contractor for many of the forest
service campgrounds, Recreation Resource Management, and the U.S. Forest Service. This area does not require a Red Rock Pass or America the Beautiful Interagency Pass to park a vehicle at Fay Canyon Trailhead.
