Forest Service crew working on Antler Fire north of Juneau

JUNEAU, Alaska, June 1, 2018 – A Forest Service crew of firefighters from Juneau is working on containing a 56-acre fire on the Antler Flats, north of the city. The fire started on May 31, 2018, at approximately 1 p.m., and the cause is under investigation. More firefighters are being dispatched from Juneau and Hoonah to assist in containing the fire.

The fire does not pose an imminent threat to any persons or structures at this time.
