– The Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center is pleased to host a presentation on Ice Safety by Capital City Fire and Rescue on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1 p.m.
Jayme Johns and George Reifenstein of Capital City Fire and Rescue will discuss ice, ice safety, and self-rescue
in the visitor center auditorium. If conditions allow, a rescue demonstration will be held outside after the presentation. Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center is fee free in the winter. Winter hours are Fridays, Saturday, and Sundays from
