Dry Lake Hills area trails open for use
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., Jan. 8, 2018, For Immediate Release —
Several trails at the base of Mount Elden, Dry Lake Hills and along Shultz Creek have reopened because the thinning contract associated
with the Flagstaff Watershed Protection Project has ended.
A contract authorizing timber harvesting for fuel reduction of approximately 642 acres ended on Dec. 31, lifting temporary closures of parts of the Rocky Ridge Trail, the Arizona
National Scenic Trail and Lower Oldham Trail. These trails are now open, and the original routes of the trails have been restored.
