KETCHIKAN, Alaska, March 24, 2017 - Are you interested in the projects and activities that happen on the Tongass National Forest? Would you like to learn
more and maybe share your recommendations or concerns? Anyone interested can now subscribe to receive email updates for current and future Tongass National Forest management projects being analyzed under the National
Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The Forest uses these mailing lists to send out information, newsletters, notices, and documents on projects happening in and around the Tongass. The electronic mailing system gives the user direct control over which mailing
lists they subscribe to. The National Environmental Policy Act requires that information is made available to the public before decisions are made and before actions are taken. In
a NEPA project, the Forest Service asks for and considers public input, and analyzes and discloses the environmental effects of projects and activities on National Forest System lands.
