Friday Night Insight features Janalee Gage dispelling the stigma of mental illness

 

KETCHIKAN, Alaska, March 21, 2017Janalee Gage, community advocate for people living with disabilities, presents a lively, transformative opportunity to dispel the stigma around mental illnesses at the Friday Night Insight on March 24. The presentation takes place at 6 p.m. in the Elizabeth Peratrovich Theater, inside the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center. It can also be viewed live via Facebook at www.facebook.com/TongassNF.

 

The Southeast Alaska Discovery Center and exhibit halls are open Fridays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. this winter. Admission is free. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the exhibits, purchase maps and America the Beautiful passes, and learn about the forest from an interpretive ranger. A variety of films exploring the natural and cultural history of Alaska will be played in the theater upon request until 5 p.m. The Southeast Alaska Discovery Center is located at 50 Main Street in Ketchikan.
