Road to C.C. Cragin Reservoir closed for firefighting operations
Flagstaff, Ariz., June 6, 2016, For Immediate Release —
Motor vehicle access to C.C. Cragin (aka Blue Ridge) Reservoir is currently restricted for firefighting operations on the Reservoir Fire—a 10-acre wildfire which began this
morning on the south side of the reservoir across from the boat ramp.
Forest Road 751—the main forest road that leads to the reservoir—will be closed to vehicles at Rock Crossing Campground for public safety as firefighting equipment and personnel
use the road. Coconino National Forest firefighting personnel are assisting Arizona State firefighting personnel,
as the fire began on unincorporated private land which falls under the jurisdiction of the state. Current resources on scene include two Type 1 crews, one Fuels crew, five engines, one helitanker and
one Type 3 helicopter, equaling approximately 77 personnel starting initial suppression on this fire. For more information on the fire efforts, contact Carrie Dennett, Arizona Forestry Division Fire PIO
at 602-399-3078.
