Williams and Tusayan Districts Open Campground Sites Beginning May 1 Williams, Ariz., Apr. 30, 2015—For Immediate Release. Recreational campgrounds on the south zone of the Kaibab Forest will open Friday, May 1. On the Williams District, Kaibab Lake,
Dogtown Lake and
White Horse Lake campgrounds will be open and available for public recreation and overnight camping. For the
Tusayan District, Ten-X campground,
located 2 miles south of Tusayan, will also be open. Enjoy the fresh air and outdoors, however, please be mindful of any rules associated with the campground and always maintain fire safety when making a campfire. To stay current with any fire restrictions in Arizona go to
