The Forest Service announces changes in the Anan Wildlife Observatory permit system
Seeks early booking

WRANGELL, Alaska–A new online reservation system will be used to confirm reservations at Anan Wildlife Observatory for the 2015 visiting season. The new system (www.recreation.gov) is anticipated to be available in April.

A temporary process until the new system is available is to visit the Anan information page on the Tongass website and send an e-mail of interest to anan@xxxxxxxxx. The website at http://www.fs.usda.gov/goto/R10/Tongass/Anan provides detailed instructions. Twenty passes are available per day with up to four passes per group. Requests will be entered into a lottery on March 2, 2015. There is no fee for entry into the lottery. If selected, you will be contacted for the usual fee of $10 per pass plus a $6 reservation.gov fee per group.

For more information regarding the Anan Wildlife Observatory, please call Outdoor Recreation Planner Dee Galla, Wrangell Ranger District office, at 907-874-2323.
