Smokey Bear to make special appearance on birthday


Flagstaff, Ariz. –
Smokey Bear is celebrating 69 years of preventing human-caused fires and will be making an appearance at the Red Rock Ranger Station Visitor Center as part of his celebration and focus on fire prevention.

 

On Saturday (Aug. 10) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Smokey Bear will visit the visitor center for his 69th Birthday. Stop by to get a picture with him, sign his birthday card and draw a picture of Smokey Bear to display at the visitor center.

 

The Red Rock Ranger Station Visitor Center is located one mile south of the Village of Oak Creek along State Route 179.  For more information please contact the visitor center at (928) 203-2900.
