The Tongass National Forest has extended the comment period for its main guiding document, the 2008 Land and Resource Management Plan (Forest Plan). The Forest is looking for feedback from the public on whether the plan is working or if changes are needed.
The public comment period is now open until June 30, 2013. The Tongass has and will continue to solicit comments through public and stakeholders meetings, government-to-government consultation with Southeast Alaska tribes, and written comments. Comments can be submitted online at www.tnf-5yearreview.com or by mail addresses to: Tongass National Forest/ TNF 5-Year Review/ 648 Mission Street/ Ketchikan, Alaska 99901-6591
