The Bear Jaw Fire and Fuels Crew will be assisting a homeowner with a prescribed fire event today, Nov 26. This will be a small parcel of land on the south side of Kachina Village that borders the National Forest and Pumphouse Wash. Ignitions should take place between 1000 and 1400.  Smoke impact to the community should be minimal due to arrangement of fuels and size of project. Fire managers anticipate little impact to the community, however smoke will be visible from I-17 and the Kachina Village/ Mountainaire areas.
