The Jumpup Fire is about 25 acres in size and is actively burning in cheat grass and pinyon-juniper woodlands near Jumpup Divide on the North Kaibab Ranger District of the Kaibab National Forest. While no structures are threatened, smoke is visible from the town of Fredonia, Highway 89A and Highway 67. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Resources working to suppress the Jumpup Fire include three engines, one helicopter, one water tender, a wildland fire module, one dozer, and multiple individual firefighting personnel.
