Crews respond to fire northeast of Blue Ridge

Flagstaff, AZ – The Canyon Fire, reported by at 7:22 a.m. today, is currently estimated to be 50 acres, burning about 15 miles northeast of Blue Ridge Reservoir (aka C.C. Cragin Reservoir) in the Jacks Canyon area north of Highway 87.

 

Three engines, a Type II initial attack crew and helicopter with a water bucket have responded to the fire, which comprise at total of approximately 40 personnel.

 

No evacuations have been ordered and no structures are threatened at this time. Firefighters are optimistic they will contain the fire by later this evening.
