Banks Public Affairs Officer Kaibab National Forest (928) 635-8314 www.flickr.com/kaibabnationalforest Forest Service To Host Workshop on Applying for Jobs FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Kaibab and Coconino National Forests are offering a workshop Jan. 26 at 5:30 p.m. on the Northern Arizona University campus in order to provide information on available Forest Service jobs and how to apply for them.
The workshop, which is sponsored by the Coconino/Kaibab Civil Rights Action Group, will be in the Undergraduate Computer Lab (Room 109) on the second floor of the Southwest Forest Science Complex (Building 82 on the attached map). The workshop
is open to any member of the public who is interested in working for the Forest Service. Public parking is available anytime after 4:30 p.m. in Parking Lot P46 (see attached map). The focus of the workshop will be to provide guidance and training on applying for permanent and seasonal Forest Service jobs. Current employees will be available to provide tips and training on the application process. To be considered
for employment, applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time they begin work.
Career fields within the Forest Service include fire, range, timber, recreation, wildlife biology, botany, geology, hydrology, law enforcement, human resources, budget administration and more. The workshop will offer information on local,
