Kaibab National Forest Releases Hat Allotment
Environmental Assessment

                                       

WILLIAMS, Ariz. – The Kaibab National Forest has released its Hat Allotment Environmental Assessment for public review and comment. The document is posted on the Kaibab National Forest website at http://fs.usda.gov/goto/kaibab/projects.

Forest managers are seeking input on the assessment which describes the proposed action to re-authorize grazing on the Hat Allotment, about eight miles southwest of Williams, Arizona. The project area covers 103,256 acres on the Williams Ranger District.

        Comments must be submitted to Martie Schramm, Williams District Ranger, 742 S. Clover Rd. Williams, AZ 86046-9122, FAX (928) 635-5680, mschramm@xxxxxxxxx. Comments may be written, hand-delivered, oral, and electronically delivered for 30 calendar days following the date of publication of the legal notice in the Arizona Daily Sun.

Hand-delivered comments can be submitted to the Williams Ranger District office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays at the above stated address. Email comments also may be submitted via electronic mail (.doc, .txt, .pdf, and .rtf only) to: comments-southwestern-kaibab@xxxxxxxxx. Please include “Hat EA” in the subject line of the email for easy identification.
