Tentative prescribed fire plans for the week of November 16

Flagstaff, AZ – Pending favorable conditions, fire managers are planning prescribed fires on the following projects for the week of November 16.
 
All prescribed fire activity is dependent on personnel availability, weather – including ventilation conditions, and approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (www.azdeq.gov).

Monday, November 16
Eastside Project – 30 acres of pile burning off Townsend-Winona Road near Slayton Ranch and Hutton Ranch roads, as well as near Manning Road. Smoke will disperse to the northeast, light residual smoke may settle in the Doney Park area overnight.
Bald Mesa Project – 25 acres of pile burning located 3 miles north of Clint’s Well, east of Forest Highway 3 (Lake Mary Road).  Smoke should disperse to the south and may be noticeable on FH3.  
IMAX Project – 1000 acres located approximately 7 miles south of Happy Jack, 3 miles west of FH3, south of Buck Mountain. The majority of smoke will disperse to the north; residual smoke may settle toward the Verde Valley area overnight.

Fort Valley Project                North of Flagstaff off Hwy 180        
A-1 Project                        West of Flagstaff and north of I-40 near A-1 Mountain
Mint Project                        Off Lake Mary Rd near Mormon Lake Village
Ritter Project                        South of Flagstaff, west of I-17 near the Willard Springs Transfer Station
Childs Project                Near the Childs Power Plant at Fossil Springs
