WASHINGTON, March 5, 2024 – On Wednesday, March 6, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will be in San Antonio, Texas, where he will give keynote remarks at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s PowerXchange annual meeting. During his remarks, the Secretary will announce major investments in affordable, clean power projects that strengthen the nation’s energy independence. Secretary Vilsack will highlight how this announcement – and others made under the Biden-Harris Administration – are growing the American economy from the middle out and bottom up, rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure, creating good-paying jobs, and building a clean energy economy to tackle the climate crisis and make rural communities more resilient.
