WASHINGTON, Feb. 29, 2024 – Tomorrow, U.S. Department of Agriculture Deputy Secretary Xochitl Torres Small will hold a media teleconference from Mozambique to recap her experience leading USDA’s first-ever agribusiness trade mission to Angola, an important African trading partner. Alongside leaders and exporters representing a variety of American-made food and agricultural products, including U.S. beef, dairy, distilled spirits, dry beans and lentils, grains, oilseeds, poultry, and more, the Deputy Secretary highlighted USDA’s invested interest and work in market access, both new and expanded, across the globe.
Additionally, Deputy Secretary Torres Small will discuss her travel to Mozambique, where she visited two projects supported by USDA, one by the McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program and the other by the Forest Service.
